About this EPF calculator
The Employee's Provident Fund is a retirement savings scheme where both you and your employer contribute a share of your salary every month. The money earns a government-declared interest rate, and the full corpus is available at retirement or on leaving service after the qualifying period.
This calculator takes your monthly basic plus dearness allowance, the employee and employer contribution rates, the annual interest rate and the number of years. It compounds the monthly contributions and reports the final corpus, the total contributed by both sides and the interest earned.
The employer's 12% contribution is split between EPF and the pension scheme, which is why the employer rate here is usually 3.67% for EPF. The rate is declared annually by the EPFO, so update it to the current one.
Use it to see how a higher salary or a longer tenure raises your retirement corpus. Small, steady contributions over many years add up significantly because of compounding. Always check the latest EPFO rules and your passbook for the actual balance.
